Connecting with Wyoming’s Industry Leaders at the WBA Candidate Summit
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate in the Wyoming Business Alliance Policy and Prosperity Summit. This fantastic event brought together industry leaders from across Wyoming alongside candidates for the legislature, statewide elected positions, and the U.S. House and Senate.
The format was fast-paced and highly engaging: industry leaders were grouped across 13 tables, and groups of candidates rotated through for intense, 12-minute discussions. Industry representatives presented their top legislative and regulatory priorities, while we, as candidates, introduced ourselves, shared our backgrounds, and discussed our visions for Wyoming’s future.
Having spent 30 years working closely with Wyoming’s higher education, economic development, non-profit, utility, mining, and manufacturing sectors, it was wonderful to reconnect with many familiar faces. While there, I also had the pleasure of personally thanking the Realtors at the event for the recent endorsement I received from the Wyoming Realtors Political Action Committee.
Moving forward, I’ve already made plans to have more in-depth discussions with several Sheridan County-based leaders in agriculture, manufacturing, and professional services to ensure our local economy thrives.
