The Wyoming Coalition for a Healthy Retirement proudly endorses Susan Bigelow for House District 51 in the Wyoming Legislature for the 2026 Primary Election.

WCHR represents nearly 70,000 working and retired Wyoming public employees throughout the state. Our endorsements are earned, not automatic. Each endorsement reflects a careful review of candidate questionnaires, public statements, and discussions with candidates regarding issues affecting Wyoming’s public employees, retirees, and the long-term strength of the Wyoming Retirement System.

Susan earned WCHR’s endorsement by demonstrating a thoughtful understanding of the issues facing Wyoming’s public workforce and a commitment to supporting policies that strengthen retirement security for current and future public employees and retirees.

As I have knocked on doors in Sheridan, Ranchester, Dayton, and Big Horn, I have talked to several Wyoming public retirees. Many have shared that “they are okay” but a friend of theirs is really struggling with the pension check that has not increased since they retired ten, twenty or more years ago.  We all know that costs at the grocery store and gas station have increased. Taking care of our public employees who are now in retirement is a responsibility I will take seriously.
