Support from the Wyoming Hospital Association Political Action Committee
When my late husband John and I chose our home in Sheridan, we were fortunate to land less than a mile from Sheridan Memorial Hospital. As I cared for both my mom and John in the final years of their lives, I made the trip to the Emergency Room and hospital rooms more times than I can count. Their care was excellent, transport to Billings was seamless when required, and strong coverage ensured we weren’t left with medical bills we couldn’t pay.
Sadly, that level of security isn’t shared by enough families across Wyoming. As our rural hospitals struggle, basic services that every community relies on—like obstetrics and maternal healthcare—are increasingly out of reach.
That is why I am so honored to share that I have earned the support of the Wyoming Hospital Association PAC.
In their letter, the WHA shared their commitment:
“The Wyoming Hospital Association is a statewide association dedicated to providing leadership, representation and advocacy for Wyoming hospitals. Through leadership and collaboration among all healthcare providers, the WHA promotes information and education enabling Wyoming hospitals to deliver high-quality healthcare accessible to all Wyoming citizens.”
We have an incredible opportunity to protect and strengthen care across our state. Initiatives like the Wyoming Rural Health Transformation Program, funded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, promise to fund critical gaps and support innovative approaches to delivering healthcare in our rural communities. The Wyoming Legislature has a vital duty to help our local healthcare providers maintain and expand these services, ensuring the promising work started under the Rural Health Transformation Program continues for years to come.
